Two working days

Theshelf count

Not how many products you have. How many someone can actually reach.

119  49

One store, before anything was fixed

Why it's worth doing

On one store those two numbers were 119 and 49.

Seventy products that existed, sat in stock, and couldn't be reached by clicking. Nobody had noticed, because a page showing 49 products looks exactly like a page.

Four counts

Published

119

What your store publishes. Read off the storefront rather than your admin, because those two disagree more often than you'd think.

Reachable

49

How many of those someone can get to by clicking, starting from your home page. A product sitting in no collection is published and unreachable.

Distinct

47

Reachable, with duplicates removed. When two collections overlap, the same product turns up twice. Fifty cards for twenty-seven products isn't fifty products, it's noise.

Buyable

44

Of those, how many can actually go into a cart at the price the page shows.

One store's count, name cropped. Every one of those you can go and check yourself. That's deliberate.

What fell out

70

Published, in no collection — unreachable by clicking

2

Duplicated across two overlapping collections

3

Reachable but not buyable at the price shown

Plus collections that have quietly stopped updating, and settings in your theme connected to nothing.

What you get

The four numbers

Every product that falls out between them, and why it fell out

Collections that have quietly stopped updating

Settings in your theme connected to nothing. We've found these switched on for months, doing nothing at all

What happens

Send us your store address. Nothing to install, no admin access. Two working days.

Less useful if

You have twenty products and know all of them by heart. The counts will tell you what you already know.

Four counts you can go and check yourself.
